Lacey’s client in Hampshire is looking for an experienced vet to join their supportive, friendly team! Would you like to be part of a practice where you can learn knew skills and achieve your career goals? How about with the support of a multi-certificate holder behind you?
• Salary up to £60,000 (DOE)
• Ideally full-time (flexibility for shorter hours considered)
• Shared Saturday rota, open 9am-12pm.
• No out-of-hours
• Occasional sole charge
• Interest in ultrasonography or medicine desired, but not essential.
• Work no later than 7pm!
This small animal practice in Hampshire is growing fast, therefore they are looking for an additional Vet Surgeon to join their friendly team. The practice owner is an Advanced Practitioner in small animal surgery and opened the practice in June 2018. Her multiple certificates include a certificate in emergency medicine and surgery as well as in soft/tissue orthopaedic surgery certAVP(gSAS), putting the practice in a unique position to offer a varied case load and learning experience. In addition, she also has a Zoology degree, therefore they include exotics in their cases.
In addition to their impressive practice owner, you will be joining an exceptional team including another full time Veterinary Surgeon, 3 RVNs, 1 Student Nurse and 3 receptionists with their nurse team having a combined experience of 50 years!
Days are structured with consultations between 9am-12pm with ops 11am-2pm, lunch and then consultations again from 3pm with the last consultation at 6pm so that everyone can leave on time when the practice closes at 7pm.
Ideally this is a full-time role to support the growth of the practice, with flexibility for shorter hours considered if required. In addition, there is a shared Saturday rota when we open between 9am and midday, for consultations and emergencies only. There is no OOH.
They are looking for a colleague with solid GP experience, confident in occasional sole charge, a team player with great communication skills and someone capable of providing the highest level of veterinary care. Someone with an interest in ultrasonography or medicine would be preferred, but this is not essential, and they do have orthopaedic equipment on site, however, are open to investing in further equipment depending on your skill sets or interests.
The practice itself is a bright and airy standalone practice which as well as the 3 consult rooms and theatre, also includes a designated office and staff room upstairs with kitchen and seating area. In addition it is excellently located, with easy access to the picturesque New Forest National Park, making it a desirable place for anyone wishing to explore both coast and countryside.
