My client is offering a rare opportunity for an experienced Veterinary Surgeon to join their friendly, well-established small GP practice in East Lothian. This is a 15-month maternity cover position starting February 2026.

**Full time or part time considered
**Includes 1 in 3 weekends
**Must have 3+ years’ experience and be confident with sole charge
**Weekend work is sole charge, supported by 1 Nurse and 1 Receptionist
**Weekdays worked alongside 2 vets, 2 RVNs, and 2 receptionists

Weekends mainly involve sick/emergency cases with limited vaccinations and no scheduled surgeries, allowing you to focus on urgent care.

This is a smaller, supportive GP practice offering excellent continuity of care and a welcoming working environment. The team has established strengths and clinical interests in:

**Feline nursing
**Dermatology
**Clinical animal behaviour
