    Independent Small Animal Practice | Full Time RVN vacancies

    Lacey's client, a well-established independent small animal practice in North Somerset, is seeking a full-time Registered Veterinary Nurse to join their friendly and supportive team.

    This is a varied and rewarding role within a genuinely independent practice that values nursing input and promotes a sustainable work–life balance, including a well-managed out-of-hours rota.

    The Role

    The position is full time, working a 40-hour week on a rotating shift pattern. Weekday shifts include:

    • 8am–4pm

    • 11am–7pm

    • 12pm–8pm

    The role also includes participation in a shared OOH rota, structured to be fair and manageable.

    Out-of-Hours Commitment

    • 1:7 night weekends

      • Friday, Saturday & Sunday nights (7.30pm–8.30am)

      • No daytime work on these weekends

      • Friday and Monday off either side of the night shifts

    • 1:6 day weekends

      • Saturday & Sunday, 8am–8pm

    The practice’s night work is very quiet, supported by an external OOH provider. Only stable inpatients are kept on site, and any work after 6.30pm is directed straight to the OOH provider.
