About This Role
A well-established, RCVS-accredited small animal practice in Lancashire is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Registered Veterinary Nurse (RVN) to join its supportive and progressive team.
• Salary: Dependent on experience • Full time position (averaging 36.5 hours per week) over 4 or 5 days • Shared weekend rota (1 in 6), alternating between Saturday daytime and full weekend shifts • Flexible working patterns can be discussed
With over a century of service to the local community, this multi-site practice blends traditional values with modern veterinary care. Facilities include digital x-ray, dental x-ray, ultrasound, and an in-house laboratory. The practice also provides 24/7 care through its own on-call service, supported by a dedicated out-of-hours night nursing team.
The successful candidate will be joining a friendly and experienced team of vets, nurses, and support staff who are passionate about delivering excellent care to both patients and clients.
You will play a vital role in the clinical team and will be involved in: • Nurse consults and patient admissions/discharges • Anaesthesia monitoring and surgical nursing • In-patient care and recovery • Laboratory work and clinical administration • Supporting student nurses and junior colleagues
Nurses are encouraged to fully utilise their skills and actively contribute to the development of clinical services.
Candidate Requirements: • RCVS-registered Veterinary Nurse • A team player with a proactive, caring, and positive attitude • Strong communication skills and a commitment to high clinical standards
