About This Role
A fantastic job opportunity has arisen for an experienced Small Animal Veterinary Surgeon to join a well-established, RCVS accredited practice in South London, om the Surrey border. You will be part of a friendly, close-knit team in a small, busy clinic at the heart of the community, working alongside passionate professionals who create a welcoming environment while delivering exceptional care.
The Role:
This position offers a varied caseload including a mix of operating and consultation days. The ideal candidate will be confident with all routine procedures, including occasional rabbit surgeries.
• Salary up to £55,000 (pro rata), depending on experience
• Permanent or fixed-term contract, full or part-time options available
• 3–4 days per week (9.5-hour shifts) between 8.00 and 18.30
• Must include Monday, Tuesday and Thursday. Fridays optional but some flexibility desirable for holiday cover
• 1 in 3 Saturday mornings (08.30–13.00). Saturdays are sole charge, with occasional sole charge weekdays
• No out-of-hours or on-call duties
About the Practice:
The practice has been serving the local community for decades and is fully equipped with everything required for high-quality clinical work, including Ultrasound, Radiography, Dental Radiography, Multiparameter machine, Tonopen, Doppler and Petmap. Orthopaedic and Cardiology specialists are available when needed.
The team has strong community links, supporting local charities and outreach projects. Clinical development is actively encouraged, supported by a generous CPD budget and opportunities to pursue areas of individual interest. The practice is part of a larger veterinary group, offering additional support and career growth opportunities.
The Team:
You will be joining two long-term part-time Veterinary Surgeons, one to three qualified Nurses and a Student RVN. The practice values collaboration, support and contribution from the whole team. Work-life balance is a priority, with a sociable team culture.
